Patagonia placed this full page ad in the September 2004 issue of OutSide Magazine.
This is a shameful attempt by Patagonia, to try and influence the United States Election, with a picture of a Canadian clear cut ( Lyell Island, Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia, Canada by © Joel W. Rogers/CORBIS ).

The picture that Patagonia used in this disinformation attack was taken about 1983 of a legal timber harvest in Canada. The area is now a National Park (The Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) and has been since 1987.

It is shameful that Outside Magazine would stoop to such deceit just to try and sell a little advertising space.
